Challenge
Transforming a technical product into an emotional brand
Optimizing urban mobility is crucial for cities, especially metropolises. It must be sustainable, flexible, and straightforward, seamlessly integrating public and private transport. The Munich Transport Company (MVG) launched the "MVGO" app, offering residents and visitors an intelligent, multi- and intermodal mobility platform. This app unifies MVG's services and those of its mobility partners in one convenient platform, ensuring a clear affiliation with the umbrella brand, MVG.
Idea
An interlocking flow for infinite possibilities
With "MVGO," one app and one registration, using the already popular M-Login, suffice for most Munich residents. "MVGO" simplifies mobility with the motto "Get in. Get going. Get there."— offering endless possibilities for individual mobility in Munich. We developed the eye-catching brand design for "MVGO" and, in collaboration with our technology partner Trafi, designed, developed, and implemented the app. The central brand asset is the logo, which connects the letters to form an implicit infinity symbol, representing endless connections and seamless intermodal mobility.
Implementation
Making a brand easy and helpful to use
MVGO is a brand designed for all technical interactions and promotional touchpoints, delivering a seamless experience. Elements of the umbrella brand, MVG, were evaluated, adapted, and implemented for MVGO. This approach ensures consistency within the MVGO brand ecosystem while providing a seamless brand, interaction, and information experience in coexistence with the MVG umbrella brand. Seasonal and event-based campaigns, placed throughout the Munich area, highlight the situational benefits of the brand and its usage.
