Challenge

Development of an identity for a brand and its application

ZUMTOBEL is a leading manufacturer of lighting and building systems. The potential of the hardware products has not been fully exploited in the course of digitalization. To make the products smarter, more efficient and better, a comprehensive IoT platform was launched in 04/2024. An identity had to be developed for this platform that could coexist with other ZUMTOBEL brands and at the same time be experienced in line with the IoT business model.

Idea

Creating an IoT key feature for smart efficiency

We interpreted the platform as a key feature for greater efficiency and smartness and developed a name for it: keyture. The brand experience reflects the core of the product: modularity, connectivity and dynamism permeate all areas and are the basic design principle even at the most abstract logo level.

Implementation

Application, brand and all touchpoints become a seamless experience

We created a holistic design system based on the IoT application that defines the brand identity from the UI/UX criteria of the application. We assigned exclusive colour sets to the product features, which optimize the UX, permeate the brand identity and encode the communicative content for each feature accordingly and at the same time consistently assign it to the product platform.
